Weber County High School students are hilighted in this exhibit held annually in conjunction with the Ogden Arts Festival. The students compete for cash prizes for themselves and their schools. The show is judged by professional artists, working in a variety of art fields who are on hand to visit with the students and answer their questions. The public is invited to visit the exhibit during the Ogden Arts Festival activites on Friday and Saturday and to especially attend the awards ceremony on Friday evening June 11th at 6:00pm. Location - Gallery 51, through the Grand Lobby, Union Station.

 

ENTRY RULES

  • Only Weber County high school students are eligible.
  • All submissions must have a Name Tag (see application) properly filled out and securely attached to the back or bottom of the artwork.  Also, an entry form (see application) must be completed and submitted along with the student’s artwork.
  • Each student may submit up to three original works per division. Good presentation is important. 
  • Two-dimensional and photography pieces must be framed and wired for hanging and should not exceed 4’x4’size.  3-D pieces should be adequately protected for transportation and storage.
  • Submissions with attached Name Tag and completed Entry Form will be accepted Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Union Station's Art Gallery (2501 Wall Avenue, Ogden) from May 24 to June 4. The deadline for submissions is 4:30 p.m., June 4, 2009. Late submissions cannot be accepted.
  • An award ceremony and reception for students, family, friends, and the community will be held on June 11, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Union Station. 
  • Entries will be exhibited during the Ogden Arts Festival on Saturday, June 12. 
  • Artwork can not be removed until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.  Students are encouraged to pick up their work on Saturday, June 12 between 8:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Special accommodations for a later pick up date can be made by calling Tracy at Union Station's Business Office (801) 393-9890.
